MILLION WOMEN RISE: SOME INFORMATION

Each year on International Women’s Day, One Million Women Rise lead thousands of women through the streets of London to demonstrate against male violence against women and highlight the achievements and courage of women activists.
This year is the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and up to 10,000 women are expected to march with One Million Women Rise on Saturday 6 March. Can you help with stewarding on this important demonstration? Full training and support is offered. Email mwrstewards@hotmail.co.uk with your name, contact phone number and please include if you have stewarded before and/or are first aid trained.

Disabled Women
Each year MWR has a mobility support van to ensure inclusion of disabled women and women who would have difficulty completing the length of the march. A map of the route will be available marking resting seats and public toilets for those who need resting places along the route.
