The BBC Reports that Scotland are launching a new campaign to raise awareness about Domestic Violence in a big to reach out to women in safe spaces away from abusers. The posters (below) will be posted in 27 Dorothy Perkins stores and 19 TK Maxx stores from 28 December.
There were 53,681 incidents of domestic abuse recorded in Scotland in 2008/09 – an 8% rise on the previous year. Maybe it’s just me but Scotland always feels ahead of the curve where women are concerned.
I do hope there is more text on these posters as well though – because to me in a world saturated with advertising , they could be about anything.
